Joseph Eagan married Mary Ellen Duffield on February 4, 1902. They had six children, moving from Providence, Rhode Island, and settling in Hamilton, Ontario.
I thought I’d be stuck in Rhode Island and never able to trace my Duffield family back to Ireland. With just one record, I was able to break through that brick wall.

Samuel Moore married Elizabeth Longworth on December 29, 1888, at St. James Church in Chorley. The emigrated with their two daughters to Canada.
William Shepherd married Mary Jones on November 22, 1868, at St. John The Evangelist, Miles Platting, in Manchester, Lancashire, England.
Daniel Whelan married Bridget Phillips on August 10, 1888, in at St. Carthagh’s Roman Catholic Church in Tweed, Hungerford, Ontario.
My great-great-grandparents, Samuel Gardiner and Teresa Stevens, likely met on the Circassian when emigrated with family members to Canada. They were married six years later.
